Stack Emission Monitoring

Stack emission monitoring is called or referred as stack emission testing, stack emission monitoring, stack sampling, source emission monitoring, or source testing. It is a process used to measure atmospheric emissions of industrial wastes or pollutants. Pollutants released from the chimney can be solid, gaseous, liquid organic or inorganic.

What is a Stack ?

A Stack also referred as a chimney used to spread hot air to a great height, emissions and various types of particles emitted from chimneys such as boiler, flue gases, etc. At these heights, the polluted air is dispersed over a very large area so that the concentrations on the ground remain within the permissible limits and are not harmful to people, animals or vegetation. There are several flue gas chimneys based on fuel injection. E.g. DG series chimney, flue gas chimney, process chimney, furnace chimney, boiler, chimney, etc.

What are the requirements for monitoring and testing chimney/stack emissions?

Perfect Pollucon Services is an expert chimney emission testing company with over 30 years of experience. They know how to perform these tasks effectively.

CPCB Guidelines for Chimney Height

Chimney, boiler, DG set, DG exhaust etc. Chimney height calculation plays an important role in determining the distribution of pollutants in the upper air level according to the local building height. Chimney/boiler/chimney height calculation formulaH = h + 0.2 * √KVAWhere,H = Total height of chimney in metersh = Building height 4 sets in Series 4 Kva generatormeters KVABased on the above formula, the provided stack height can be classified as follows: It conforms to the CPCB stack height guidelines.

For Generator SetsTotal Height of stack in metre
50 KVAHt. of the building + 1.5 metre
50-100 KVAHt. of the building + 2.0 metre
100-150 KVAHt. of the building + 2.5 metre
150-200 KVAHt. of the building + 3.0 metre
