Water Borne Diseases

Monsoons are here and that often means contaminated water supply. Globally, at least 1.7 billion people use a drinking water source contaminated with faces. An average person drinks 2.4 liters of water daily. Given that about 60% of our body is made of water, it is critical to ensure safe and pure water for ensuring our quality of life. Unsafe water can lead to stomach infections, diarrhea, fever, abdominal ache, vomiting and even death.

Following are some of water borne diseases commonly found in India and their symptoms:
